Cloud Storage & Privacy

The following types of data may persist when using cloud storage services (vendor-agnostic).

• Uploaded files (documents, photos, videos, backups)
• File metadata (filename, size, format, modification dates, GPS location)
• Folder structure and organization
• Sharing settings and permissions (who has access to what)
• Shared links and their expiration settings
• Version history and previous file versions
• Deleted files in trash/recycle bin (retention period varies)
• Device sync history (which devices accessed what)
• Account identifiers (email, user ID, payment info)
• Usage logs (upload/download times, IP addresses, locations)
• Thumbnails and previews generated by the service
• OCR/content analysis data (for searchability features)
• Backup snapshots (may persist longer than active files)
